Lytham Ladies 1st XI 3 Leyland Motors 2nd XI 1 LYTHAM ended their season with superb victory over a strong Motors team. They started strongly with Lian Atkinson slotting the ball home from a Michelle Singleton pass across the face of the goal. Heidi Whitehead then flicked in the second goal as Lytham continued to play well.
Leyland Motors then scored a breakaway goal but finally Lytham secured victory when Kelly Gore scored with an excellent shot from a tight angle. Rachel Parzione was the best of a very solid Lytham defence.
And so a very successful league season ended. Ladies 2nd XI 2 Blackpool 2nd XI 3 A READJUSTED Lytham side began this match very well and they took an early lead.
A neat pass from Jane Kelly to Lian Atkinson gave Jenny Leng the opportunity to score the first goal
Blackpool came back well and equalised but then conceded an own goal following constant pressure from Lytham.
However, they fought hard and, despite excellent play from Lorna Leach, Joanne Currie and Claire Roberts, they managed to score twice to win the game.
Ladies 3rd XI were beaten 1-2 by Blackburn 4th XI
