THE first of a brand new fleet of minibuses designed to upgrade travel to day care centres in the Wyre area was launched recently.
Blackpool North and Fleetwood MP Joan Humble and local councillors were present at the launch which took place at the Chatsworth Day Centre, Fleetwood.
The investment of £2.3 million on the new "RoMoBus" vehicles is the largest ever in Lancashire. It is hoped they will improve the travel arrangements for people who use social services in the Wyre area.
County Coun Mrs Ward said: "The investment we are making reflects the commitment of the county council to providing quality services."
