A FUNDRAISING night took on a distinctly Irish twist as members of Darwen's Macmillan Cancer Relief committee got into the swing of St Patrick's Day.
The committee had organised the fundraiser at Astley Bank anyway but when they realised it clashed with St Patrick's Day they decided to make it extra special.
A leprechaun sold raffle tickets and there was an Irish slant on the music.
Committee secretary Kathleen Narboni said: "The fact our event fell on St Patrick's Day made it extra special. Everyone put an extra effort in to make it a success."
