A MAN was due in court today facing a number of charges after a mother was held at knife-point in her home on Friday.
Joanne Trickett was found at her Stanhill Lane home, Oswaldtwistle just after midnight.
It is thought her two young children were also in the house.
Police said the house was doused in petrol and after managing to free herself Joanne, a part-time tele-ads employee at the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, went to a neighbour's house and telephoned the police.
Joanne was said to be traumatised but not physically hurt and declined hospital treatment.
A Bolton man was was due at Hyndburn Magistrates today charged with aggravated burglary, false imprisonment and a number of other offences.
