TICKETS are on sale for a full-blooded farce at the Leisure Hall, Bacup, set in an English stately home.
St Mary's Players, Bacup, are staging "Post Horn Gallop", a play they successfully performed more than 20 years ago.
The traditional farce pits an eccentric Lord of the Manor, armed with a blunderbuss, against three gangsters who are determined to steal his paintings and antiques.
Actor John Cannon, chairman of the society, said: "It's a very funny show and was very popular last time we staged it."
He said they had managed to borrow most of the old-fashioned props, but still needed three 1960s Scout uniforms with the traditional large hats.
Anyone who can help can call producer Christine Durkin on 01706 874836. The play runs from Wednesday, March 28, to Friday, March 30, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available by calling 01706 873671.
