THE Buddies, Accrington Theatre Group's youth section, is staging the light-hearted musical "The Boyfriend" at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre from tomorrow.
The play, set in Nice in the flapper era, is all about the ups and downs of young love.
The show runs until Saturday at 7.30pm each night. Tickets are priced £4.50 to £6 and are on sale at Accrington Town Hall, or by calling 01254 884765.
YOUNGSTERS at St Hilda's RC Girls High School are also staging a musical about young love, this time with an all-girl cast.
They are performing "Half a Sixpence" at the Burnley School from Tuesday, March 27, to Saturday, March 31, at 7.15pm each night.
Andrew Summers has produced the classic show and Nigel Wilkinson is musical director. Tickets cost £4 and are available by calling 01282 436314.
THRILLER "Therese Raquin" opens next week at Burnley Mechanics, staged by the Burnley Garrick Club.
The show, set in 1870s Paris, is an edge-of-your-seat tale of lust, obsession and remorse, starring Anthea Carpenter and Barry Beckett.

TICKETS are on sale for Michael Palin's play "The Weekend" at Rossendale Players' New Millennium Theatre. This modern comedy about the annoyances of family life has been directed by Mark Storton, and runs from Saturday, March 31, to Saturday, April 7, at 7.30pm.
