POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an assault on a 14-year-old boy in Colne.
Investigations are continuing into the attack which occurred last Monday at 8.30pm, in Albert Road, and anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact Colne police.
The teenager was walking along the road when an Asian man, who he believed to be a taxi driver, got out of his car and started shouting at him and saying he had damaged his car.
The man grabbed the boy round the back of his neck, which resulted in him falling backwards to the ground, before dragging him along the ground to his car.
He is then believed to have punched him in the face and the boy was left with bruising and scratches to his face and to the back of his neck.
The attacker was described as Asian, around 46 years old, medium build, 5ft 5ins, with long fingernails.
