LICENSEES across Lancashire are to benefit from the knowledge of one of the county's top training consultants.
Chorley-based Stars and Moon, run by Sarah Bryan, was selected by the Punch Pub Company to work alongside the firm's regional directors to implement training programmes for more than 4,000 pub operators.
The modern licensed retailer course forms an important part of the company's induction programme for new lessees and tenants, and is designed to teach existing licensees new skills in areas such as marketing, food development and personnel management.
Seven other consultants will carry out similar roles across the country.
Stephen Gould, director of recruitment and training for the Punch Pub Company, said: "We have searched extensively to find and recruit the very best trainers in the business.
"Together we have devised a comprehensive training programme that meets the needs of new and experienced tenants and ensures they are maximising their potential.
"We hope that the wide range of professional skills licensees acquire during training will quickly be passed on to staff working at their pubs.
"That way, standards in the individual business are raised at all levels."
