TIM Roberts limped off with a broken toe as Lancashire made it two wins out of two in South Africa.
The new Red Rose spinner scored useful runs for the second time on the trot in Lancashire's 69 runs success over Eastern Province Academy.
But the injury wrecked his bowling debut -- he was only able to send down two deliveries.
Lancashire had three other casualties, Pete Martin, Mike Smethurst and Gary Keedy, all with back strains.
But veteran Neil Fairbrother hammered a glorious century with two sixes and 10 fours to follow up his unbeaten 51 in the first game and Ryan Driver impressed with 44.
Lancashire chalked up 239-4 off their 50 overs and restricted the Academy to 170-8.
