ICE hockey stars from the past-a are all set to converge on Blackburn Arena next month -- for a feast of entertainment.

And the array of ex-players involved in a night to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Blackburn Hawks will certainly not be hungry.

For the after-match food is being laid on by Tiggis -- free.

Gianfranco Parisse, manager at the famous Italian restaurant in Blackburn town centre and a keen fan of Hawks, said: "It is our way of getting behind the event in celebration of the ice hockey birthday in Blackburn.

"Many of the lads come in here and we are delighted to help them on their big night."

Current Hawks player-coach Bobby Haig and star forward Dan Mackriel popped in to Tiggis on Preston New Road to show their appreciation.

"We just wanted to say thanks to Gianfranco and his team for supporting us in this way -- and we even got chance to sample the fare," said Haig.

The anniversary match will take place on Tuesday April 3 and will feature up to 50 Hawks, past and present, led by the legendary Steve Moria. The action gets under way at 8pm.
