THE Friends of Alkincoats Park and members of Pendle Pride will be pulling on their rubber gloves and digging out their bin bags for a full day of cleaning.
The groups will be picking up litter and debris in Alkincoats Park througout Saturday in order to improve the area.
They will also focus on tidying the area between the bowling green and the top of the children's play area.
And they will tackle the job of painting the outside of the bowling pavilion and picking up any litter they come across on the footpaths.
Any members of the public who are willing to give up a few hours to help out at the clean-up would be welcome.
They should contact the council's Parks Outreach Officer, Fred Stewart, on 01282 661600.
