WOULD-BE entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to discover the pitfalls of self employment before starting their own business.

Blackburn & District Enterprise Trust has teamed up with Barclays Bank to provide 'Start Right" seminars which offer advice and guidance on running a business.

Delegates will learn about the pros and cons of being their own boss, the legal and financial implications involved in running a business, marketing, cashflow and funding.

The seminars will take place at the Blackburn & District Enterprise Trust on April 4 and 25, between 9.15am and 4pm

Peter Llewellyn, principal business banker at Barclays for the Blackburn area, said: Starting a business can be one of the most fulfilling and exciting experiences, but it can also be one of the most challenging.

"That is why it is vital to get all the help and support you can when making the decision. The Start Right programme allows local people to benefit from the experience of Barclays and the enterprise trust to set off on the right track in today's competitive environment."

And as an additional bonus, Barclays are offering Start Right delegates a special business package, including a free credit card, three months' free sickness cover and life assurance and a business starter loan with a six-month repayment holiday.
