BACUP manager Brent Peters was sent off in the first half as his side enjoyed a good win over promotion-chasing Tetley Walker.
Peters was sent behind the barriers for protesting against a tackle in front of his dug out.
He expects to hear from the FA but said: "I accept my punishment but the referee was inconsistent and that is what frustrated me. I just wish we had video evidence."
Either way it was a good win for Bacup who have taken four points off a strong Tetley side this season.
The home side were quickly out of the traps and took the lead within five minutes.
Damian Moran made a great run down the left hand side and found Steve Gavin. He whipped in a cross which Nicky Taylor fired in on the turn to give Bacup a great start.
Gavin was again the provider for Darren Esdale who found Paul Waine but his shot was just wide of the post as Bacup looked to increase their advantage.
But it was Bacup keeper Adam Potts who then had to be at his best, pulling off a superb save with his feet on the stroke of half-time.
An Ian McClelland free kick went just wide after the break before a defence splitting pass found Carl Stanley on the hour and he finished with sheer precision. Moran could have made it three but took one touch too many and Potts then denied Tetley, turning a free kick wide of the post.
