I WISH to echo the sentiments raised by I Duerdon (Citizen letters, March 1) I hope all those councillors who voted in favour of the South Ribble Local Plan (which included housing for Manor House Farm) are happy to see yet more matchbox houses being built in Leyland.
What a shame to see a lovely open field turned into a concrete jungle of expensive homes which will be too dear for ordinary folk.
Where and when will it all end? Is there any green land left in Leyland?
Fat cat developers have already robbed the town of open land off Longmeanygate, on both sides of Wade Hall bridge and on a tiny scrap of land in Dunkirk Lane.
The developers are only interested in making a profit and don't care nothing about the views of people actually living in Leyland.
For this we rely on the councillors and, yet again, we have been let down.
But no doubt they'll all pass the buck and blame someone else for residents' gripes.
Many Farington Moss residents are very angry that the Manor House Farm development has gone ahead and certain councillors have lost a lot of votes at the next borough elections from these people who they thought were gormless.
