I AM writing with regard to the amount of dog fouling that still seems as bad as ever, despite recent attempts by the council and the media to publicise the problem.
I am particularly concerned about the area near my home, namely Conway Avenue, St George's Avenue etc, although I think it is fair to say most of the Fylde is affected.
Today I confronted a woman who let her dog foul the pavement outside my son's school on St George's Avenue. Her couldn't-care-less attitude shows that a few prominently erected signs on lamp posts are not going to discourage people like her from offending again.
I'm sure this is just one of the many letters you must receive on the subject, but I make no apologies for that. After all it's not that long ago since the dangers were highlighted when children in this area were blinded by a disease contained in some dog excrement. Please may we have some action.
