YOU accidentally paid me and my friends a compliment in your review of the Abba Mania gig at King George's Hall, Blackburn (LET, March 5).
"...the audience hardly reacted, the only saving grace being small pockets of teenagers suitably glammed up for the event in their feather boas, dodgy afros and flares, really getting into the spirit of the evening and dancing away at the sides of the theatre..."
That was us! The youngest in our group is in their late 20s, the oldest over 40.
We were a group of friends from St Gabriel's Church, Brownhill, and included three lawyers, two clergy, a computer consultant, a dentist, two teachers, a nursery nurse, a bank clerk and a chartered surveyor!
So I want to Thank You For The Music -- and the compliment!
Mamma Mia! Does that make me a Super Trouper?
The Rev PAUL SWEETING (aged 32), Chatsworth Close, Blackburn.
