BURY Brownies were given a civic welcome when they visited the borough's "First Citizens".
The youngsters, attached to the 25th Bury Christ Church Walmersley Brownies, were the guests of Bury's mayor and mayoress, Councillor Bill Johnson and Mrs Joyce Johnson.
They visited the mayor's parlour at Bury Town Hall and were briefed about the couple's mayoral duties.
And the Brownies were also able to ask their hosts a number of questions relating to their civic role.
