FOUR voluntary-aided schools in the borough will benefit directly from last week's Government hand-out to boost disabled facilities.
Bury Council was told it would receive £232,400 to improve disabled access in its schools.
Under the Government's School Access Initiative, almost £185,000 will be used for maintained schools, while £48,000 in grant aid will be shared among four voluntary-aided ones.
They are: St Monica's RC High, Prestwich (£18,700); St Paul's CE Primary, Bury (£12,325); Bury CE High (£10,115); St Stephen's CE Primary, Bury (£6,644).
