BURY-born goalkeeper Andy Goram has joined Manchester United in a £100,000 loan deal from Scottish Premier Division side Motherwell.
The 36-year-old former Scotland international has also secured a £100,00 personal contract with United, who have signed him as cover for Fabien Barthez and Raimond van der Gow.
With Barthez injured, former Tottington High School pupil Goram could be involved in United's European Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on April 3.
Goram, whose father Lew played in goal for Bury, started his career with Oldham Athletic and went on to play for Hibs and Rangers before joining Motherwell, winning 42 caps for Scotland on the way.
