A SINGING barber from Leigh has been highly rated by fans of music channel MTV.
Rob Grice, together with 29-year-old window cleaner Stuart Connor, have seen their track, I Want Everything, become the highest new entry in the MTV Undiscovered internet chart.
The dance tune has also been awarded "Song of the Month" on BT's Get Out There website and it has received airplay on Rock FM and Galaxy 102.
Yet the pair are still waiting for a record label to snap them up.
Dad-of-two Rob, aged 30, of Winchester Avenue, Astley, said: "The good thing is that people are recognising the strength of our songs. We're currently producing a new track called Rising Sun with a 17-year-old girl called Kirsty McCormack from Leigh College.
"She's got a stunning voice and the record is looking to be our best yet."
Rob, a self-taught keyboard player, runs The Barber Shop on Chapel Street, Leigh. He teamed up with Stuart, who is a classically trained pianist, at Rueben's nightclub in Leigh.
Copies of the track are available from the barber's shop or by logging onto www.getoutthere.bt.com
