A FAMILY hit by a run of bad luck have become born-again Christians following a series of mini-miracles.
Mark Aldred suffered brain damage following a scrambling accident and had trouble with his speech and memory.
But on the day he appeared to make a full recovery, his 25-year-old wife, Lisa, collapsed on the bedroom floor, suffering from eclampsia.
Their unborn daughter, Rachel, was also in danger of losing her life and had to be delivered by Caesarean section, weighing just 2lb.
Yet despite the five months of pain, the trio are getting their lives back on track.
And Lisa believes God was watching over them and has helped to put things right.
Speaking from her home on Atherton Road, Hindley Green, she said: "My husband couldn't walk down the road properly because of damage to his brain.
"But he woke up one day last year and said he felt absolutely fine. An hour or so later, though, he found me lying on the floor."
Mark had only been at home for three weeks after he had been airlifted to safety following a collision with another bike off Plank Lane, in Leigh, last October.
He had to look after his other children, Ben, Leah and Hannah, while his wife received treatment.
Lisa and Rachel are recovering well and Mark has returned to work.
Lisa said: "We're born-again Christians now because we really feel God had a hand in making everything alright for us in the end."
