ANDREW Lonsdale was given two days of the silent treatment by his girlfriend because he failed to order her a kebab.
Blackburn magistrates heard that eventually Lonsdale could take no more and kicked out at a table, damaging the television and video at the same time.
Lonsdale, 40, of Mowbray Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to damaging property belonging to Susan Walker. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £325 compensation.
Claire Fanning, prosecuting, said there was a young child in the house at the time of a domestic incident in which Lonsdale started smashing up the house.
Daniel King, defending, said the couple had a 14-year relationship and that Lonsdale was the father of the child mentioned. Lonsdale had been staying at Miss Walker's over the weekend and on Saturday they had agreed to order some kebabs.
"Unfortunately my client had a disagreement with the gentleman at the kebab shop and put the phone down without ordering," said Mr King. "She was very annoyed, because she wanted a kebab, and would not talk to him for the rest of Saturday, all day Sunday and most of Monday.
"By then he had had enough and he kicked the coffee table, knocking the TV and video over at the same time."
