YEARS ago, if your tax was a day late on your car you got a ticket slapped on it.
Well, there are at least seven cars without tax on my road alone. Three of them belong to one house and one of them was last taxed 12 months ago and they have the cheek to drive them around.
If you ring the police they say contact the council and vice-versa. If everybody had the same attitude to taxing and insuring their vehicle, nobody would ever be able to claim in the event of an accident.
If the police pulled their finger out and checked the vehicles as they were reported, they would probably find they had no tax, MOT or insurance. We need to put a lot more pressure on these car tax dodgers.
HONEST DRIVER,
Prestwich.
