COUNCIL bosses are teaming up with young people to discuss the findings of a new crime report.
Officials at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council have invited people to a seminar to investigate crime issues in the borough which were revealed in a study carried out by the Safer Communities' Task Group.
The Task Group, which was set up by the Policy and Review committee last July, has spent nine months asking the public for their opinion of crime in their area and have put the findings together in a new draft report.
Lead member for resources at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, councillor John Milburn, said: "We are keen to involve as many people as possible in this initiative to help make Blackburn with Darwen a safer place.
"This task group was set up to highlight young people and crime in the borough so we will be particularly pleased to welcome the younger element of residents to this first seminar to put their views forward and to discuss the findings of the draft report."
The seminar will take place on Monday at 6pm in Blackburn Town Hall.
