BOURNEMOUTH 1 BURY 0
BURY'S long trip to Bournemouth was in vain as the Shakers went down by the only goal scored by Jermain DeFoe after 21 minutes.
The goal had been against the run of play as Bury dominated the opening period with Jon Newby missing two straightforward chances and Colin Cramb having an effort disallowed.
However, after the goal, the Cherries took control of the game and though Bury threw everything at the home goal in the last 10 minutes, they were unable to find the net, and went down to only their second defeat in 12 games.
