PADIHAM 5 CHADDERTON 2
PADIHAM banged in another five goals on Saturday to bring their total to 11 in the last two NWCL Division Two outings and in doing so have revitalised their season which was fast becoming rather stale.
Against Chadderton at the weekend the goals came in the second half but only after the visitor's star performer Chris Barlow had given his side a 50th minute lead.
Ian Whittaker put Padiham back in contention six minutes later when a John Harrison cross was flicked on and the young midfield player fired in the equaliser.
John Harrison made it 2-1 himself in the 73rd minute after Steve Yeoman had made it a quick flick and cross from the right.
Ian Pilkington increased Padiham's lead to 3-1 in the 79th minute and three minutes later substitute Martyn Thompson scored his first senior goal for the Storks at the age of 16.
Mark Cook reduced Chadderton's deficit four minutes from time, but within a minute Padiham had restored their three-goal advantage when Anthony McCluskey converted a penalty kick after John Whittaker had been fouled.
