MORE parents have appeared before the courts in Bury because their children have played truant from school.

Mr Hilton was fined £100 and his wife £50. Both were also ordered to pay £50 court costs each. Also appearing before the court were Dawn and Shaun Langshaw, from Hamer Street, Radcliffe. Their child, a pupil at Radcliffe Hall Church of England/Methodist Primary, attended only on 65 out of a possible 116 occasions.
They were convicted in their absence and the case was adjourned until April 26 for the pair to be present for sentencing.
