FUNDRAISERS at Rishton Royal British Legion are preparing to start arranging events to help the parents of 10-year-old Becky Baxter, who has been diagnosed with cancer less than two years after thinking she had beaten the killer disease.
Becky and her family, of Victoria Street, Clayton-le-Moors, were told earlier this month the cancer had returned and the brave schoolgirl has been preparing for chemotherapy and radiotherapy ever since.
Now fundrasiers at the club are preparing to stump up more cash to help the family get by.
Becky's mum Karen said: "Basically, I have had to give up work to look after Becky and it would be a struggle without their support.
"They were great last time, as indeed everyone was, in helping us raise money and as soon as people at the club heard about what has happened, they offered to help again. We are very grateful."
