POPSTARS singer Suzanne Shaw has revealed a burning ambition to become a Hollywood film star.
The 19-year-old, who is wowing teenage fans with her band Hear'Say, said it was her dream to become an actress.
And, displaying single-minded determination, she said: "I wanted to go to Hollywood when I was three."
Suzanne, who has been at the centre of two tabloid kiss-and-tell stories in recent weeks, also said she was coping well with the amount of media attention surrounding the band.
She said: "There are going to be bad things written about us in the press but as long we can keep our heads held high, we'll be fine. I'm having the most amazing time, but I'm also taking the music side of things really seriously."
Suzanne, of Orwell Close, Bury, saw Hear'Say soar to the top of the charts with the debut single Pure and Simple and was today keeping her fingers crossed that the new album, Popstars, which was released yesterday, will mimic that success.
The single amassed a record 550,000 sales in just one week -- outselling nearest rival Westlife by three to one, proving wrong the critics who were convinced the manufactured nature of the band would be dismissed by young fans.
But success has not come without its down side. The national press printed a kiss-and-tell story by Suzanne's former boyfriend, Bury FC player Paul O'Shaughnessy. She also was accused by Bolton model Catherine Miller of stealing her current man, 35-year-old Andrew Warner.
But Suzanne said: "We're here to make hit singles and do well with our music."
The former St Gabriel's High School pupil beat more than 3,000 hopefuls to grab a place in Britain's newest pop band.
She said: "We don't want to be the same as everything else that's out there. People have to see something different about us before they'll be interested and we've got a lot to show them."
