RAMSBOTTOM'S Sports Festival will go ahead in June and so far organisers are hoping the annual Holcombe Fell Race will take place -- but it depends on the foot-and-mouth crisis.
The week of sporting activities culminates on June 16 with a family fun day in Nuttall Park but last year works by the water company closed one entrance into the park and affected the number of people attending.
Press officer for Ramsbottom Sports Council Steve Pollitt said: "We are hoping to have both entrances open and for lots of people to attend the fun day."
