Portico Panthers 44 Folly Lane 12
Panthers completed a comfortable double over the Swinton outfit to maintain their bid for the North West Counties League Premier Division championship.
Winger Giasone Del Farro opened the scoring for the homesters, taking a long pass to squeeze in at the corner for an unconverted try. Then Dave Leyland went over at the side of the posts for Craig Peel to convert.
Folly Lane hit back briefly with an unconverted try and a penalty goal but Portico replied with Del Farro's second, from a set move, and a Craig Peel touchdown after good work by the forwards. Peel added both goals to make it 22-6 at the break.
Panthers quickly added to their total on the re-start with Phil Greenough bursting over for a try which Peel converted.
Folly then enjoyed a spell of pressure, culminating in a converted try. But it was Portico who finished the stronger with tries by Dave Lee, Mark Rigby and Al Graham and two more goals by Peel.
Man of the match went to Al Graham, closely followed by Phil Greenough and Craig Peel.
