A BURY pub landlord accused of assaulting his common law wife has appeared before magistrates in the town.
Ian Alexander, 42, of the Globe public house, Tottington Road, Bury, is charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
Alexander, who pleads not guilty, had his case adjourned until April 17. He was given bail with conditions that he stay away from the pub, except to pick up his belongings accompanied by a police officer and to see his two children.
He must also reside at his brother's address in Hartlepool, Teeside.
