FOLLOWING the highly acclaimed success of Pokeman is Racing Frogs.
The idea of the game is to design your own frog and to train your personalised frog to be its best.
My frog was called Freda and I designed her to look like me. Well at least I thought so!
The wacky web fun game has created quite a stir with the toy industry -- I too think the concept is a brilliant idea, although at the moment I am not convinced by its efficiency.
The site definitely has all the right attributes. The bold and bright colours, the unique frog characters and the froggy sound effects make it fun to play. You are e-mailed regularly with your frog's last race results to let you know how it competing against the others.
I was e-mailed almost immediately after I had logged in to inform me that Freda was going to be entered into the superfrogs competition.
I was using a powerful PC, but even this did not help the speed of the log in. The site was very slow to access and I had trouble logging in my passcode.
You have to pay 99p for a passcard as well as pay the internet charges every time you play.
I am sure it will be a major success --- but I don't know why!
The site will have kids hooked costing their parents dearly in the process.
If you want to race your own frog, then you will have to buy a race card from your local newsagents before you can get started.
