TWO men smashed the windscreen of a HGV after a crash on the Heysham bypass road after a crash at 7pm on Tuesday night.
The Leyland Daf truck collided with the red Peugeot, possibly a 305, driven by the men after it broke sharply on the road.
The men did not stop at the scene, but sped off and, further down the road at the Trumacar roundabout, got out and threw bricks at the windscreen, smashing it and injuring the driver, from Northern Ireland, who received cuts to his face and arms. The damage to the windscreen is valued at £300.
DS Andy Chambers of Lancaster police said: "This was obviously a very, very dangerous incident."
The men were both white and one wore a checked shirt. The car's registration number started G510.
