A GOAL after only 20 seconds from Paul Townshend set Golborne Sports on their way to a stunning local derby 10-1 annihilation of Garswood Reserves.
David Buckley made it 2-0 after 12 minutes with Golborne well in control. However, a long range effort from Garswood reduced Golborne's lead, but this was soon restored when Lee Patterson made it 3-1 with a superb individual goal.
Two minutes into the second half Buckley scored his second and shortly after he completed his hat-trick. More goals followed, from Andy Turner, Paul Townshend, Chris Simm with two and Graeme McLeish.
The Reserves beat Eagle Sports Reserves 4-0, reaping revenge for the disappointment of being knocked out of the cup by Eagle a few weeks ago. In a pleasing team performance Roy Marsh grabbed a hat-trick with the other goal coming from Wayne Hesketh.
