HINDSFORD Rovers came from a goal behind to send title rivals Pennington Athletic crashing to their first league defeat of the season.

There was little between the two top teams in a scoreless first half but with 10 minutes of the second half gone Pennington were awarded a penalty and Adam Dyson put his side in front from the spot.

Hindsford started to take the initiative and after a superb run from Daniel Riddley he put in a cross that Stewart Pickup converted at the far post. The goal spurred Hindsford on all the more and eventually Athletic's stout defence was broken by a through ball from Tom Valentine which gave Pickup the chance beat a couple of men before beating the keeper with a sweetly-hit winner.
