A LEADING Colne sub post office is up for grabs -- with the leasehold business on offer to would-be postmasters.
The town's former main post office in Albert Road is being offered by agents Christie and Co's Manchester office which says it offers excellent potential for retailers.
A spokesman for the agency said the busy office makes £75,000 a year and the recent abolition of the 25 per cent transfer -- which would have cost an incoming tenant £18,750 -- means it offers a golden opportunity for a new sub postmaster.
The business is being offered on a leasehold basis with rent, rates and service charges in the region of £15,000 per year.
The office is housed in the front part of the building which was sold after the Royal Mail sorting office moved out to new premises in Nelson.
