David Gavin Richards, 24, of Bonsall Street, Blackburn, was bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for 12 months when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates and admitted a breach of the peace.
The court heard that police were called to a house in Bonsall Street where the window in the front door had been smashed. Richards said it was his partner's house and admitted that he had smashed the window.
When officers went to enter the property, Richards tried to push past them and became aggressive.
Jonathon Taylor, defending, said Richards had argued with his girlfriend before going to work as a barman at the Clog and Billycock pub. When he returned, she would not let him in and he had banged so hard on the door that the glass had broken.
