IF laughter is your medicine, a prescription for Moliere's classic play The Hypochondriac is sure to set you on the road to recovery.
Burnley Youth Theatre's latest production is being staged at the Quarry Theatre, Queens Park Road, Burnley, from tomorrow until Friday.
The complex characters are headed up by Argan, a rich man obsessed with his own health. Argan desires the ultimate in health care -- his own personal physician -- and tries to marry his daughter to a newly-qualified doctor.
His wife cares little for her health as she has big plans for his fortune and his daughter Angelique simply wants to be left alone to pursue the man she really loves. There are plenty of laughs along the way as their lives unfold and bizarrely intertwine.
Cast members have been joined by a creative team from Burnley College heading the design department.
The show, which is suitable only for over 13s, starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £3.50 (£2.50 concessions). More information is available from Burnley Youth Theatre on 01282 427767.
