Darwen Library Players had planned evening performances of the musical play by David Woods on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28, at 7.30pm.

Children of all ages will love the story of two garden gnomes who decide to go on holiday and end up on a traffic island after making friends with a fluffy duck they find in a dustbin and a streetwise cat.

An 'L' Of A Do, penned by Gladys Sutcliffe of the Gladys Sutcliffe Theatre School, Clitheroe, runs until Thursday at the Grand Theatre, York Street, Clitheroe. The play takes a wry look at life in contemporary Britain and after Mrs Sutcliffe wrote to the Prince expressing her concern at juvenile nuisance and declining standards she received a letter from his office thanking her for her letter and wishing the fundraising venture every success.
