PUB managers Trevor and Pam Speedman celebrated after becoming regional winners of a national competition.
The couple, who run the Black Bull Inn, in Bolton Road, Turton, raised their glasses after beating off stiff competition to get through to the grand final of the contest run by the Pub Estate Company.
The pub operator challenged all its 700 tenants in a sales drive as part of a four-month national promotion.
Trevor and Pam took over the pub a year ago under the tenancy of Jim and Vicki Powell, who won £1,000 worth of high street vouchers which they have chosen to spend on a holiday.
Vicki, who took over the Black Bull when it was struggling, said: "Trevor and Pam are responsible for turning the pub around to the success it has become.
"We intend to carry on improving and are building an extension to cope with the extra custom brought in by our chef."
