A SCHOOL bursar has retired after 25 years.
Chartered accountant Tim Marshall was responsible for budgeting for Westholme School's growth and oversaw many projects including the new Westholme Theatre in Blackburn.
Principal Lillian Croston said: "Over the past years, the school has gone from strength to strength and Tim Marshall has played a very important part in that success."
Tim said: "After 25 years, it is hard to imagine leaving without some sadness. I shall miss the people. The job has changed from day to day, but the friendships have been lifelong." Staff, governors and parents contributed to a retirement gift of an original painting, which was presented to Tim at his retirement dinner at the County Hotel, Blackburn.
