ACCRINGTON Stanley go on the hunt for some silverware tonight when they travel to Blyth Spartans in the semi-final of the President's Cup.
Stanley crashed out of the competition at the semi-final stage last season on penalties and boss John Coleman doesn't want a repeat.
"It's all settled on the night and last season it was so frustrating to lose out on penalties to Worksop.
"Now we have got this far we obviously want to win it. It will give the fans something as they have been great all season. But the players want to win it as well."
With no game last Saturday, the Stanley squad has been well rested but Coleman knows fellow UniBond Premier side Blyth are a difficult proposition. "We lost to Blyth 1-0 earlier on in the season in the league when we gave away a sloppy goal. They are a young side and will be keen to win, but so are we. I have had them watched so I know what to expect."
UniBond First Division side Chorley are also in cup action when they face Barrow in the semi-final of the Chairman's Cup at Victory Park.
And Bacup have their eye on making the last two of the Second Division Trophy when they face Daisy Hill at West View.
It's NWCL Division One action for promotion-chasing Ramsbottom who welcome Abbey Hey to the Riverside. But the Rams will be without influential defender Mike Smith who is suspended.
Smith misses out after an accumulation of bookings and, because of the seven day rule, he will miss the three matches Ramsbottom play this week.
They have, however, signed up Trafford defender Billy McCartney and midfielder Chris Patterson as cover.
Meanwhile Rams top scorer Russell Brierley has his eye on the 40 goal target.
The striker's best for Ramsbottom was 39 last season, but with 29 this term he is keen to break his record.
Clitheroe also hope to boost their promotion charge when they make the trip to Atherton Collieries.
And second-from-bottom Great Harwood could do their bid to escape the drop ther world of good if they defeat bottom club Leek CSOB, at Leek, tonight.
Denis Underwood's side enjoyed a 5-0 thumping of Glossop at the weekend and a win will mean they close the gap on the next club Cheadle with games in hand.
In Division Two, struggling Colne have a tough trip to promotion-chasing Blackpool Mechanics while Darwen welcome Atherton LR to the Anchor Ground.
