YOUNGSTERS from across East Lancashire are to join forces for a one-off adventure safari day.
Organisers are expecting more than 150 girl guides between the ages of 10 and 14 to attend the event which will start at Blackburn Arena.
The group will travel to different towns across the county as they take part in a number of activities, including five-a-side football and ice skating -- before rounding the day off with an evening meal and disco.
Andrea Cottam, the guiding development co-ordinator for East Lancashire said: "We try to do an annual event like this for Brownies and Guides to give them the opportunity to try things they wouldn't normally do.
"A safari day is a little bit different to events we normally hold and promises to be a really exciting day."
The adventure day is due to take place between 1pm and 9pm on Saturday June 9.
