A SCHOOL is celebrating after two mobile classrooms were replaced by proper buildings.
The rooms at Daisyfield Primary School, Clinton Street, Blackburn are ready for when children return after the half-term holiday.
Lord Patel of Blackburn officially opened the rooms and a re-designed entrance hall.
Blackburn with Darwen Council provided money from a £2m pot it received from the Government's New Deal for Schools Programme.
The council will target the money at replacing temporary classrooms across the borough with high quality teaching and learning environments.
Headteacher Mrs Pat Fowler, said, "The new classrooms and re-designed entrance hall have made a considerable difference to the school.
"Everyone associated with Daisyfield is thrilled with the work that has been carried out and feel that pupils will benefit greatly from the new, permanent, class bases."
