GRANDMOTHER Anne Edgar failed to win the last place in the Big Brother house -- despite a North West-wide campaign to get her voted in.
Family and supporters of the 45-year-old bubbly blonde boss of Barrowford's Harlequin dance wear firm ran a major poster and media campaign to get viewers to vote her into the fly-on-the-wall TV house next week.
And they travelled to London in specially-printed pink 'Vote Anne In' T-shirts in a final push to top the poll against two other contestants.
But the result, announced on TV last night, revealed Anne had fallen at the final fence -- with the majority of the 300,000 votes cast going to East London millionaire Josh Rafter.
