A NEW lift which will help disabled people gain better access to Pendle's Citizens' Advice Bureau was unveiled this week.
A donation of £10,000 was made by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales to enable the lift to be installed in the bureau's new offices in Every Street, Nelson. Stuart Ogden, senior branch manager of Lloyds TSB Nelson, went along to the bureau to have a look at the lift and the other disabled facilities available. The funding has also led to the Nelson and Barnoldswick offices both becoming fully accessible for wheelchair users, which includes disabled members of staff and volunteers.
Mr Ogden said: "The advice and information service provided by Pendle District CAB is first class and I am extremely pleased that the Lloyds TSb Foundation can help make it accessibleto all."
