A TEAM of "unfit " cyclists are to make their debut bike ride from Blackpool to Blackburn to raise money for their favourite charity.
Salim Mulla, of Ripon Street, Blackburn, Shahid Mahmood, of Preston and Norman Dykes of Harrogate are the mighty trio that will be travelling more than 30 miles on their two-wheeled machines back from the seaside town to the Geloo Brothers Chemist in Clever Street, Blackburn, in the space of a working day.
In order to get themselves in tip-top condition for the adventure they have been practising on the bikes donated to them by one of their suppliers during their lunch hours.
Shahid said: "All three of us are really out of shape."
The bikes will be raffled to help raise further funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Fund after the event has taken place on Sunday, July 15 at 11am from Blackpool.
It is not the first time that the trio have been involved in unusual activities for charity.
Two years ago they conquered the three peaks and last year they plunged 2,500ft from an aeroplane in a sponsored parachute jump.
If anyone wishes to participate or donate some sponsorship money or raffle prizes, then contact Salim on 01254 582144.
Alternatively you can donate directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Fund in London Road, Bromley, Kent.
