REGARDING your report "Clamping threat signs gone at last" (LET, May 28), I really could not believe what I was reading -- that a garage owner was praised for removing illegal signs.
The signs should never have been put up in the first place, and despite repeated demands to remove then, he only did so after being threatened with legal action.
To crown it all, United Utilities, on whose electricity sub-station the signs were put, said they would like to thank the garage owner, Mr Ismail Patel "for his co-operation." What a laugh.
I thought I was reading something from Komic Kuts.
