TORRENTIAL rain did not prevent students at Bury College from pounding the pavements for charity.
Around 30 of them undertook a sponsored ten-mile trek from Rawtenstall railway station to Bury College.
Pictured are some of the waterproofed walkers (from left) Chris Gibson, Elliot Cohen, Adam Naylor and Peter Alger.
Despite getting wet, the stalwart students did have the consolation of knowing they were raising money for a worthwhile cause.
For the cash they collected will go to Bury Deaf Children's Society and the North West Riding Association for the Handicapped.
